Project Drag Right Success! - 23 Apr 10
The Operation Drag Right project VZ SS which HPF built for member of the Victorian Police Force is finally complete.
Simon from Drag Right took the cammed six litre beast out to Calder for its first ever run and pulled an impressive 12.01 @ 120mph. What makes this feat all the more impressive is that the car is manual which makes them notoriously difficult to drive without a lot of practice.
Simon had several more runs both at Calder on Friday and at the LSx Shootout at Heathcote and repeat the flat 12 timeslip all day! With a bit more practice high 11's are very achieavable.

HPF Team take out Victorian ATC Event - 11 Apr 10
A HPF prepared Mitsubishi Evo X piloted by Peter Wrench and Robert Vickery has taken home the top prize in the Club Class at the Victorian stage of the 2010 Australian Tarmac Challenge.
Pete finished in first place outright in Club class as well as Top Rookie whilst Rob backed this up with a credible 12th outright and 5th in Rookie.

Wrapup of HPF Live at Summernats 23 - 14 Jan 10
In an Australian first HPF with support from Yella Terra has performed performance upgrades to two vehicles over the duration of Summernats 23.
The goal for the event was to take a standard VE SSV Commodore and upgrade with a head and cam package, and install a supercharger to a standard BA XR8 Falcon. Both vehicles would be tested before and after on a dyno to assess the relevant power increases. All of this would take place on the HPF Live stand, where spectators could view the work being done each step of the way along with commentary and technical information.

WRX Type 2 Result - 05 Nov 09
This is a 2006 WRX with 3" turbo back exhaust, cold air intake, HPFlash tune and an upgraded top mount intercooler (optional on Type2 Package).
Car made a good strong gain with a peak of 40kw increase, but also a very very noticeable 30kw gain around 3200rpm which is where you
will really enjoy it on the road.
It really is amazing how much of an improvement you can make on these with simple modifications. What even more amazing is the 40kw gain with factory driveability and reliability.

2008 Horsepower Hero winner TRYHRD has been spotted in the HPF car park, but instead of its elaborate water to air intercooler system there is a gaping hole.
Rumour has it that the car is being setup for some road use with a more traditional air to air intercooler and some smaller turbos finding their way in. Stay tuned for more info....

Here’s a little something we’ve been working on this week. The customer came to us all the way from Singleton NSW (nth west of Newcastle) with initial plans for a stroker 5ltr, but after discussion the decision was made to go for an LS based motor and T56 adapted with an off the shelf kit.

HPF Compete at ATC - 27 May 09
HPF is proudly supporting Matt Jackson and Pete Wrench as they compete in the Australian Tarmac Challenge (previously Duttons Rally) this weekend.
Matts very own VX SS has been converted for the challenge with an upgraded suspension and braking package, motorsport tyres and a tune up.
Matts copilot for the weekend is Pete Wrench from RallyDrive. Pete's skills as a rally driver will be put to excellent use in some of the motorkhana style stages and should compliment Matts circuit racing skills well.
HPF wishes the boys the best of luck and will film as much as possible for a future episode of OzGarage

HPF built blown SRT8 - 12 Mar 09
Its been a long time in the build and now HPF can reveal that Daniels 300C SRT8 has been tuned and is cranking out some serious power. We won't let the cat out of the bag just yet as its on a trailer on the way to Chryslers on the Murray show.
Congrats to Daniel on building such an awesome machine, always bitter sweet seeing a car which we have grown fond of leave the workshop.
The SRT8 features a 426 cube stroker motor, a Whipple 3.4l supercharger, T400 trans and Motec ECU.

MRPSI testing begins - 28 Nov 08
The path to 2000rwhp begins! This week the boys have been busy with MRPSI on the dyno, testing the setup in preparation for Summernats 22.
The good news is power output is consistent with what it has done earlier this year which tells us all is healthy with the motor.
Over the coming weeks we'll be upping the boost and playing with cams to see how it responds. Keep checking here for updates....

HPF prepared STi 8th at Mt Buller Sprint - 04 Nov 08
Placing 8th outright, the team of Stephen Bradford and Jenna Kelley in a 1999 STi had a fastest time of 9 min 09.93 seconds on the very last run up the 16km Mt Buller Tourist Rd.
The '99 STi was the oldest and least powerful car in the top ten, making their effort even more impressive.
The STi is 100% prepared and maintained by HPF.
