THE CURRENT
HPF have teamed up with Yella Terra to push the limits of the Boss motor using HPFXR8 and Yella Terra's Intercooled Whipple Supercharger package.
On its first time out with the YT kit and with an automatic the ute impressed all with a 10.56 @ 129.5 pass at the Ford Drag Nationals. Problems with the transmission prevented any follow up runs.
Expectations are high for its next outing after a few small issues are sorted, but one thing is definately for sure, these supercharger kits are an awesome thing!

THE OLD
HPFXR8 is HPF's own Ford V8 Development car. It also doubles as a vehicle for the team to enter at events and generally have fun in. Whilst quarter mile times are being chased, this is not the number one priority as the car must also be available for burnout comps and the like when they are on!
Due to an unfortunate NOS incident at the drags one night the motor needed a full rebuild. At the point the internals were strengthened and a Procharger supercharger complete with front mount intercooler was hooked up at the same time. A peak power figure of 380rwkw was achieved with a quick tune before its first event. A fault in the supercharger caused it to self destruct so a smaller procharger was installed as a replacement. With this blower on a slightly lower power figure of 340rwkw was achieved. In this configuration the ute ran a best of 12.2 @ 195.99 km/h.
Future plans for the ute include plenty more burnout and fun at events and also some more runs at the drags. Some of the weight has already been taken out in preparation for what we hope will be a mid 11 sec pass. Stay tuned to find out if we achieve this goal.....
