HPF has carried out extensive dyno and track testing for your WRX Subaru Impreza and has a number of achievements to our name when it comes to tuning and building Australia’s fastest and most reliable Subaru’s. One of the most recent achievements was the HPF Built and sponsored Subaru STI driven by Stephen Bradford that took out an impressive first place in the 2008 Targa Rookie series.
HPF has all the software and knowledge to custom tune your Subaru and when we reprogram we "flash" the factory computer chip, this does not involve any replacement of your ECU or disassembling your car to fit additional parts. Your ECU upgrade starts with your vehicle being run on the dyno while data is logged to determine the optimum tune using the latest scanning software. With the use of our custom tuning software we are then able to adjust a variety of variables in the factory PCM to increase power and torque right through the rpm range. Better fuel economy and drivability is also attained by optimizing the tune. We complete the upgrade process by testing your vehicle on the road to make final adjustments to drivability. This is all completed in 1 day and at the end of this upgrade our Sales technician will provided you with a dyno graph detailing the Power & torque increase of your vehicle.

One of the most common queries we get in relation to performance tuning on new models is the Potential effects on factory warranty. To that extent, Subaru retains the right to refuse claims on warranty where the item being claimed on has been modified or changed from factory specification.
However with thousands of ECU upgrades carried out to date Australia wide we are yet to have any vehicle custom tuned by one of our expert tuning technicians fail as a direct result of the custom tuning.
