The HP-F LT4 Head & Cam Performance Package has been developed for enthusiasts seeking the ultimate naturally aspirated-style upgrade path for the supercharged LT4 platform. Combining a premium BTR camshaft package with Higgins CNC-ported cylinder heads and supporting valvetrain upgrades, this package delivers substantial increases in horsepower, torque and throttle response while maintaining excellent drivability and reliability.

Every upgrade begins with a comprehensive pre-upgrade dyno assessment, establishing baseline power and torque figures before any modifications are carried out. This provides an accurate benchmark and allows us to clearly demonstrate the gains achieved throughout the upgrade process.

At the heart of the package is a complete BTR camshaft upgrade paired with Higgins CNC-ported cylinder heads featuring upgraded stainless steel exhaust valves. This proven combination significantly improves airflow throughout the engine, allowing the supercharged LT4 to operate more efficiently and produce considerably more power across the entire rev range.

The CNC-ported cylinder heads maximise airflow on both the intake and exhaust sides of the engine, while the performance camshaft enhances valve timing and volumetric efficiency. To ensure reliability under increased performance demands, the package also incorporates a BTR trunnion upgrade, helping strengthen the factory valvetrain. The timing system is further reinforced with a Katech heavy-duty timing chain, C5.R chain guide and billet timing cover, while a Katech wet sump oil pump provides enhanced lubrication and oil control for long-term reliability.

During installation, all required service items and consumables are replaced, including a new harmonic balancer seal, engine oil filter, premium synthetic engine oil, coolant and associated gaskets and fluids. Every component is installed to the highest standard by HP-F's experienced performance technicians.

To unlock the full potential of the hardware upgrades, HP-F performs a complete custom ECU calibration using HP Tuners software. Extensive dyno testing is used to optimise fuel delivery, ignition timing, airflow modelling and camshaft operation, ensuring safe, reliable and repeatable performance gains.

The package also includes a custom TCU (Transmission Control Unit) calibration, engineered to improve shift quality, increase shift speed and optimise transmission behaviour to suit the enhanced power and torque output of the upgraded engine.

Once tuning is complete, every vehicle undergoes comprehensive dyno and road testing to verify performance, drivability and reliability. A final dyno run is then completed to compare against the original baseline figures, clearly demonstrating the improvements achieved through the package.
