GEN-F LSA Stage 4 | 570KW
The HPF LSA Stage-4 upgrade starts with our trained technician fitting a Harrop Cold Air Induction system with a high flow, serviceable air filter element and a 160-degree thermostat to the engines cooling system, a higher boost Griptec 65mm (2.55”) supercharger drive pulley, ZPE hub and coupling upgrade which is complimented by a set of high flow fuel injectors and adding a full stainless steel exhaust system including 2”, 4-1 extractors the same as Stage-3. Stage-4 goes further adding a high-performance camshaft package, a drop in 1000hp fuel pump assembly and a new overdrive harmonic balancer for even more boost. We then custom tune your vehicle's ECU on the dyno utilizing the latest ECU tuning software to maximize power and torque and to optimize fuel efficiency. We complete the upgrade process by testing your vehicle on the road to make final adjustments, optimizing your vehicle's performance and driveability. This is all completed in two days. At the end of this upgrade, you will be provided with a dyno graph detailing the power & torque increase of your vehicle. Flex Fuel (E85) is an option, talk to one of our Sales Representatives.
- Cold air intake - The Harrop Cold Air Induction (CAI) system features a large diameter free flowing intake path to ensure maximum performance from your LSA powered vehicle. It features a large surface area pod style air filter to assist in minimizing the restriction of air flow and is contained in a fabricated housing which seals against the underside of the vehicles bonnet to reduce the intake of hot air from inside the engine bay.
- Thermostat - HPF offers this premium quality 160-degree thermostat for LSA Applications. This is a direct drop in with no modifications needed and includes the rubber seal. Reducing engine coolant temperature will help produce more horsepower and improve your performance and driveability. The thermostat is an easy to install component and requires no modifications.
- Supercharger pulley - The High boost supercharger pulley includes the ZPE Pulley Hub system for the factory GM LSA. The pulley is made from billet 7075-T6 aerospace grade aluminium, stronger and harder than 6061-T6. This pulley is equipped with GripTec® - a unique micro machining technology. This technology allows the maximum grip force to be applied to the component and belt without damaging your belt. Made in California, USA.
- Fuel injectors - HPF only uses premium fuel injectors from Excess Fuel Injectors for the LSA platform. All Excess Injectors are tested on a custom built test bench to J1832 standards under a strict testing protocol in a purpose-built facility in Melbourne’s south eastern suburbs. Every injector set is dynamically flow matched within 1% and deadtime matched within 2%. This saves dyno time tuning injectors and allows us to get a perfect result every time. - Exhaust - HPF chooses Pacemaker Exhausts for the LSA platform. Made in Richmond, South Australia for almost half a century, Pacemaker are synonymous with performance and quality. Given the performance the LSA is capable of producing we chose Pacemakers 2” 4-1 headers (extractors) for the maximum in flow, matched to their 3” high flow cats and mandrel bent stainless steel dual 3” system. The sound is deep and meaningful.
- Fuel pump – More air needs more fuel and for the OEM LSA supercharger equipped upgrade packages, we chose the drop in 1000hp fuel pump from KPM in Edwardstown, South Australia. The factory LSA fuel pump supports a good amount of power but fuel pressure drops off even with a moderate power increase. To avoid the probability of leaning out the engine we install a higher flowing aftermarket system. The fuel system utilizes a Bosch motorsport fuel pump and simply replaces the existing OEM fuel module to deliver cool dense fuel to support power up to 1000hp on the race track as well as delivery for perfect manners in day-to-day city traffic.
- Harmonic balancer – In the quest for more boost pressure we chose to add a PowerBond over-drive harmonic balancer as opposed to a smaller S/C pulley as this maximises belt grip. The overdrive segment of the new harmonic balancer does not affect the non-supercharger related accessories run by the OEM drive belt. The PowerBond over-drive balancer comes in 5 different over-drive ratio’s depending on boost requirements it also features the same material and extreme pressure-bonded process as PowerBond SFI race series harmonic balancers and are made in Wagga Wagga, NSW.
- Cam package (LSA engine) – Utilizing the latest in Spintron technology, Brian Tooley Racing (BTR) in Kentucky, USA lead the way in valvetrain component design. The Spintron machine allows BTR to effectively test and design camshaft and valvetrain products to ensure stability and longevity like no other device. HPF is not shy in leveraging BTR’s extensive testing and as such, our product list for the cam package includes BTR’s camshaft, platinum dual valve springs and V2 rocker trunnions. Supporting the BTR components, we use Australian made Rollmaster heavy duty single row timing chains and Crow Cams pushrods. Cam selection should be based on driving expectations and should be discussed with one of our HPF representatives. We recommend new hydraulic lifters in higher milage engines.
