JEEP 5.7L HPF STAGE 4 | 375KW
If you’re looking for the next stage in performance and a sound that will scare old ladies, HPF has the Head & cam upgrade package for your WK2 5.7L Jeep. The HPF Stage-4 upgrade starts with our trained technician setting your vehicle up on our 4WD dynamometer and performing a baseline dyno run. This allows us to firstly make sure everything is working A-OK and secondly it gives us a standard figure from your car to compare to once the upgrade is completed. We continue by removing the engine from the vehicle, setting it up on our custom-made jig and disassembling it to send your Cylinder heads off to Higgin’s Race Heads to be CNC ported and fitted with new platinum BTR conical valve springs, we then replace the factory camshaft with a high-performance custom camshaft and a phaser limiter kit from Brian Tooley Racing. Brian Tooley Racing (BTR) in Kentucky, USA lead the way in valvetrain component design as these new BTR lobe designs were Spintron and Engine Dyno tested to achieve the highest overall power curve while also maintaining strict valvetrain stability and durability standards. HPF is not shy in leveraging BTR’s extensive testing and as such, our product list for the Hemi cam packages includes BTR’s camshafts, valve springs and Phaser limiter / lock. We then replace the troublesome MDS lifters with premium Johnson high performance lifters which feature a redesigned oil pathway to lubricate and pressurize the lifter. Next, we fit upgraded valve springs to the cylinder heads and we reassemble the engine with new heavy-duty pushrods, head bolts, head gaskets, a 160-degree thermostat, and a set of Pacemaker 1-7/8” primary 4-1 headers (extractors) Once the engine is reinstalled, we install a high flow K&N Cold air intake and bolt the Pacemaker dual 3” cat-back exhaust system and high flow metallic catalytic converters to the headers. We then custom tune your vehicle's ECU on the dyno utilizing the latest ECU tuning software to maximize power and fuel efficiency. We complete the upgrade process by testing your vehicle on the road to make final adjustments, optimizing your vehicle's performance and driveability. This is all completed in around 4-5 days and at the end of this upgrade you will be provided with a dyno graph detailing the power & torque increase of your vehicle. Flex Fuel (E85) is an option, talk to one of our Sales Representatives.
• Cold air intake - The K&N Cold Air Induction (CAI) system features a large diameter free-flowing intake path to ensure maximum performance from your Hemi powered vehicle. It features a large surface area pod style air filter to assist in minimizing the restriction of air flow and is contained in a fabricated housing which seals against the underside of the vehicles bonnet to reduce the intake of hot air from inside the engine bay.
• Catback Exhaust system – A ‘Catback’ system is basically all the parts of the exhaust after the catalytic converters. It’s the section of exhaust where all the mufflers are placed and by using larger diameter pipe and high flowing mufflers more performance and better sound is achieved. HPF chooses Pacemaker Exhausts for the Jeep, SRT & Trackhawk platform. Made in Richmond, South Australia for almost half a century, Pacemaker are synonymous with performance and quality. Pacemaker build a quality stainless steel dual 3” system and some model specific phat tips. The sound is deep and meaningful.
• Headers & High flow cats – Also known as extractors, we chose a 4-1 design as over the years 4-1 headers have proven their advantage over the tri-y design. 4-1 Headers are offered in a few different sizes for different engine applications or modification levels. The catalytic converters chosen are higher flow and feature either 100 cpi or 200 cpi (cell per inch). The catalyst matrix is coated metal so they are built to last. Given the performance the Hemi V8 is capable of producing we have the choice between Pacemakers 2” 4-1 headers for blown applications and 1-7/8” Headers for naturally aspirated applications all matched to their 3” high flow cats. The catback exhaust bolts to the catalytic converters.
• Cam package (Hemi 5.7 & 6.4) – If you’re looking for a cam upgrade that sounds like a CAM UPGRADE then HPF has the package for you! Utilizing the latest in Spintron technology, Brian Tooley Racing (BTR) in Kentucky, USA lead the way in valvetrain component design. The Spintron machine allows BTR to effectively test and design camshaft and valvetrain products to ensure stability and longevity like no other device. HPF is not shy in leveraging BTR’s extensive testing and as such, our product list for the GEN111 Hemi cam package includes BTR’s camshafts, valve springs and a BTR camshaft phaser limiter / lock system. Supporting the BTR components, we use high performance USA Made Johnson #2326 hydraulic lifters. The 2326 oil band is different because of the change in how the internals are provided oil. Factory lifters are supplied oil via the pushrod, whereas the Johnson 2326 are oiled by the oil gallery like a typical lifter – a true solution for the Hemi Tick. We finish the engine off with a set of HD Crow Cams pushrods. We offer camshafts to suit naturally aspirated and supercharged applications.
• CNC ported cylinder heads - The 6.4 Apache engine like pretty much every other engine benefit from accurate CNC cylinder head porting. We use Higgins Race Heads out of Dandenong Victoria exclusively for all of our cylinder head porting requirements. CNC porting is the computer-controlled reproduction of a port design machined into your cylinder head casting, this ensures each intake and exhaust port not only flows and has the highest velocity as possible but also flows exactly the same as the port next to it. Higgins Race Heads thoroughly recondition the cylinder head including decking flat the surface, CNC combustion chamber machining and valve seat angles, tip and reface the valves, new valve stem seals and fitting the HPF supplied Brian Tooley Racing conical valve springs.
• Dyno Tuning – By optimizing the engine tune parameters in the vehicles PCM to suit 98 octane fuel, we are able to increase both power and torque and maximise fuel economy. Late model naturally aspirated cars are generally tuned very well from the manufacturer so depending on the vehicle platform mechanical parts to improve the engines intake & exhaust flow may need to be added to really get good gains. Engines fitted with a turbocharger from factory are much easier to enhance as increasing boost pressure by tuning works extremely well. Flex Fuel (E85) is an option, talk to one of our Sales Representatives.
