70 SERIES 4.5L | STAGE 2 | 245kW

The Landcruiser 70 Series 4.5L Stage 2 upgrade is expertly designed to significantly enhance your vehicle's performance through a series of high-quality modifications. The upgrade process begins with our trained technician fitting a new Gturbo VD G333 Titan turbocharger, which dramatically increases airflow into the engine for improved power and efficiency.

Next, we replace the restrictive factory snorkel head with a larger 3.5" hi-flow Safari unit, further enhancing the engine’s breathing capabilities. To optimize exhaust flow, we install a Pacemaker 3" stainless steel turbo back exhaust system, which not only boosts performance but also delivers a captivating sound that enhances your driving experience.

In addition to these upgrades, we fit a Process West SEPR8R Air Oil Separator to capture oil mist entering the engine's inlet manifold. This important component helps prevent harmful buildup in the intake system, promoting cleaner and more efficient engine operation.

To fully leverage these enhancements, we perform a custom tune of your vehicle's ECU on the dynamometer. Utilizing the latest ECU tuning software, we optimize engine parameters in real-time to maximize power, torque, and fuel efficiency.

The upgrade process is finalized with comprehensive road testing, which allows us to make any necessary adjustments to enhance overall performance and drivability. At the end of the upgrade, you will receive a detailed dyno graph that compares power and torque figures before and after the upgrade, clearly demonstrating the significant improvements achieved.

With the Stage 2 upgrade, your Landcruiser will deliver a remarkable boost in performance, combining enhanced power and efficiency with the reliability and ruggedness that this iconic vehicle is known for. 

Warning: Removal of the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF)

By removing the DPF from your vehicle, you acknowledge that it will no longer comply with EPA regulations. This modification is intended for off-road race use only and is not legal for operation on public roads. Use of a DPF removal may lead to increased emissions and potential legal liabilities.

Key Features

The Stage 2 package addresses the next level of components that limit power; generally this will be a turbocharger and associated hardware upgrade. The turbocharger upgrade is aimed at increasing air flow into the engine; this allows extra fuel to be added for more power and torque throughout the rev range. We still maintain our ‘reliability first protocol’ which maintains safe air fuel ratios and low EGT’s. You will note that the Stage 2 package may not include what is traditionally thought to be ‘essential diesel upgrades’ but rest assured, if it’s needed, it will be in the Stage 2 package.

Notes

  • Important - Manual transmission vehicles will require a clutch upgrade to handle the additional torque.
  • Power figures listed are estimated kilowatts at the flywheel based on results typically obtained by HPF on HPF’s dynos. Typically these are based of a manual vehicle with standard driveline and standard wheels and tyres. Actual power can vary based on each specific vehicle.
  • We advise against increasing the power output substantially on high kilometer engines, if your engine has in excessive of 150,000kms please contact us to discuss options.
