The Landcruiser 70 Series 4.5L Stage 3 upgrade is expertly designed to deliver exceptional enhancements in performance and power delivery. The upgrade process begins with our trained technician fitting a GTurbo VD-G333 Titan turbo upgrade, addressing the limitations posed by the standard turbocharger. This high-performance turbocharger is engineered to optimize both low-end and top-end power, ensuring your V8 engine delivers robust performance across the RPM range.

The GTurbo VD-G333 Titan Turbo features a high-flow, high-efficiency compressor wheel, a larger turbine wheel, upgraded thrust bearings, and a stronger main shaft, all of which contribute to its outstanding capabilities. Additionally, it is equipped with a higher flow Variable Nozzle Turbine (VNT) system and a marine-grade stainless vacuum boost controller, replacing the standard aluminized mild steel actuator to enhance durability against salt deterioration. The turbo is designed to operate with a boost specification of 28 psi and can be efficiently run up to 32 psi.

Next, we replace the restrictive factory snorkel head with a larger 3.5" hi-flow Pacemaker unit, and we install a Pacemaker 3" Turbo Back stainless steel exhaust system to further improve airflow. This combination significantly enhances the engine's breathing capabilities, allowing for more efficient power delivery.

To complete the upgrade, we fit a Process West SEPR8R Air Oil Separator to capture any oil mist entering the engine's inlet manifold, preventing harmful buildup in the intake system and promoting cleaner operation.

Once all components are installed, we conduct a custom tune of your vehicle's ECU on the dynamometer. Utilizing the latest ECU tuning software, we optimize the engine parameters in real-time to maximize power, torque, and fuel efficiency, ensuring a responsive driving experience.

The upgrade process is finalized with thorough road testing, allowing us to make any necessary adjustments to enhance your vehicle’s performance and drivability. At the conclusion of the Stage 3 upgrade, you will receive a detailed dyno graph comparing power and torque figures before and after the upgrade, showcasing the remarkable improvements achieved.

Key Features

The Stage 3 package addresses the next level of components that limit power; generally this will be a turbocharger and associated hardware upgrade. The turbocharger upgrade is aimed at increasing air flow into the engine; this allows extra fuel to be added for more power and torque throughout the rev range. We still maintain our ‘reliability first protocol’ which maintains safe air fuel ratios and low EGT’s. You will note that the Stage 3 package may not include what is traditionally thought to be ‘essential diesel upgrades’ but rest assured, if it’s needed, it will be in the Stage 3 package.

• Important - Manual transmission vehicles will require a clutch upgrade to handle the additional torque.
• Power figures listed are estimated kilowatts at the flywheel based on results typically obtained by HPF on HPF’s dynos. Typically these are based of a manual vehicle with standard driveline and standard wheels and tyres. Actual power can vary based on each specific vehicle.
• We advise against increasing the power output substantially on high kilometer engines, if your engine has in excessive of 150,000kms please contact us to discuss options.
