The Landcruiser 70 Series 4.5L Stage 3 upgrade is expertly designed to provide exceptional enhancements in both performance and power delivery. The upgrade process begins with our trained technician fitting a GTurbo VD-G333 Titan turbo upgrade to address the limitations of the standard turbocharger. This high-performance turbocharger is engineered to optimize both low-end and top-end power, ensuring your V8 engine delivers a robust performance across the entire RPM range.

The GTurbo VD-G333 Titan Turbo features a high-flow, high-efficiency compressor wheel, a larger turbine wheel, upgraded thrust bearings, and a stronger main shaft, all contributing to its outstanding capabilities. Additionally, it includes a higher flow Variable Nozzle Turbine (VNT) system and a marine-grade stainless vacuum boost controller, replacing the standard aluminized mild steel actuator to enhance durability against corrosion. Designed to operate with a boost specification of 28 psi, this turbo can efficiently run up to 32 psi, ensuring you have the power when you need it.

Next, we replace the restrictive factory snorkel head with a larger 3.5" hi-flow Pacemaker unit and install a Pacemaker 3" turbo back stainless steel exhaust system to further improve airflow. This upgrade significantly enhances the engine's breathing capabilities, allowing for more efficient power delivery. We also fit a 79 Series Factory Twin Fan Upgrade kit, designed to assist the factory intercooler in achieving more efficient airflow. This upgrade overcomes limitations at low speeds, where the factory cooler may suffer due to a lack of airflow.

To ensure cleaner operation, we fit a Process West SEPR8R Air Oil Separator, which captures any oil mist entering the engine's inlet manifold, preventing harmful buildup in the intake system and promoting better overall engine health.

Once all components are installed, we conduct a custom tune of your vehicle's ECU on the dynamometer. Utilizing the latest ECU tuning software, we optimize engine parameters in real-time to maximize power, torque, and fuel efficiency, ensuring a responsive and exhilarating driving experience.

The upgrade process concludes with thorough road testing, allowing us to make any necessary final adjustments that enhance your vehicle’s performance and drivability. At the conclusion of the Stage 3 upgrade, you will receive a detailed dyno graph that compares the power and torque figures before and after the upgrade, clearly showcasing the remarkable improvements achieved.

Key Features

The Stage 3 package addresses the next level of components that limit power; generally this will be a turbocharger and associated hardware upgrade. The turbocharger upgrade is aimed at increasing air flow into the engine; this allows extra fuel to be added for more power and torque throughout the rev range. We still maintain our ‘reliability first protocol’ which maintains safe air fuel ratios and low EGT’s. You will note that the Stage 3 package may not include what is traditionally thought to be ‘essential diesel upgrades’ but rest assured, if it’s needed, it will be in the Stage 3 package.

  • Important - Manual transmission vehicles will require a clutch upgrade to handle the additional torque.
  • Power figures listed are estimated kilowatts at the flywheel based on results typically obtained by HPF on HPF’s dynos. Typically these are based of a manual vehicle with standard driveline and standard wheels and tyres. Actual power can vary based on each specific vehicle.
  • We advise against increasing the power output substantially on high kilometer engines, if your engine has in excessive of 150,000kms please contact us to discuss options.
