The HP-F Stage 4 Performance Package for the Ford FG, G6E and FGX XR6 Turbo has been developed for enthusiasts seeking significantly greater performance from the legendary Barra turbo platform. Combining a larger Garrett turbocharger with upgraded intake, intercooler, exhaust, fuel and valvetrain components, this package delivers substantial gains in power, torque and boost response while retaining strong street drivability.

Every upgrade begins with a comprehensive pre-upgrade dyno assessment to establish baseline power and torque figures. This provides an accurate benchmark and allows us to clearly demonstrate the performance gains achieved through the Stage 4 upgrade.

At the heart of the package is a Garrett GTX3582 Gen II Super Core, supported by an upgraded exhaust housing, wastegate flapper and 12 PSI actuator. This turbocharger upgrade provides the airflow capacity required to produce considerably more power while delivering strong boost response and an impressive power curve throughout the rev range.

To support the increased airflow and boost, Stage 4 incorporates a comprehensive Process West intake and intercooler package. The Stage 2 intercooler, complete with upgraded hot and cold-side piping, helps reduce intake-air temperatures and provides consistent performance under demanding driving conditions. A high-flow race air intake improves airflow into the turbocharger, while the battery relocation kit creates the space required for an efficient and direct intake path.

A 3.5-inch turbo-back performance exhaust system with a 4-inch dump pipe significantly reduces exhaust restriction, allowing the upgraded turbocharger to operate more efficiently. Improved exhaust flow contributes to stronger boost response, increased power and the aggressive exhaust note expected from a high-performance Barra.

To supply the additional fuel required, the package includes high-performance fuel injectors and a Walbro 460 high-flow fuel pump. This upgraded fuel system provides the increased fuel delivery needed to safely support the package’s enhanced performance potential.

Crow Cams Race Series valve springs and retainers are installed to improve valvetrain stability under increased boost and higher engine speeds. These supporting upgrades help maintain reliable valve control as engine output and operating demands increase.

To bring the complete package together, HP-F performs a custom dyno calibration tailored specifically to the vehicle and its modifications. Dedicated dyno time is used to optimise boost control, fuel delivery, ignition timing, throttle response and torque management, delivering safe, consistent and repeatable performance.

Once calibration is complete, the vehicle undergoes comprehensive dyno validation and road testing to confirm performance, drivability and reliability. A final dyno run is then compared with the original baseline figures, clearly demonstrating the power and torque improvements achieved through the Stage 4 package.
