The Mustang 2.3L EcoBoost Stage 3 upgrade is engineered to deliver substantial performance improvements through a series of high-quality modifications. The process begins with our trained technician installing a high-flow air intake system and replacing the EcoBoost's undersized front-mounted intercooler (FMIC) with a new direct fit COBB EcoBoost Mustang intercooler. This upgrade significantly enhances power delivery, as the factory FMIC can be easily overwhelmed by heat soak, particularly during demanding driving conditions.

The COBB intercooler features innovative air diverting fins in the end tanks, a result of computer fluid dynamic analysis during its R&D process. This design maximizes the utilization of the larger core, ensuring that your EcoBoost Mustang benefits from notably cooler charge air. Installation of the COBB FMIC is straightforward, requiring no modifications to the vehicle and remaining fully compatible with the factory MAP sensor.

To further enhance performance, we replace the factory exhaust system from the turbocharger to the tailpipes with a stainless steel turbo back exhaust system. This improvement provides exceptional gains in exhaust flow, enhances turbo response, and offers an exhilarating sound that complements the performance upgrades.

After all modifications are in place, we conduct a custom tune of your vehicle's ECU on the dynamometer. Utilizing the latest ECU tuning software, we optimize the engine’s performance to maximize power, torque, and fuel efficiency, ensuring that all upgraded components work in perfect harmony.

The upgrade process concludes with extensive road testing, allowing us to make any necessary final adjustments to optimize your vehicle's overall performance and drivability. At the end of the upgrade, we provide you with a dyno graph that compares the power and torque figures before and after the HPF upgrade, clearly illustrating the significant improvements achieved.

As with all HPF upgrade packages, the Stage 3 upgrade is modular, providing customers with the flexibility to add further enhancements in the future without incurring unnecessary costs.
